In short

The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It stores three small things in your browser, all needed for the site to work as you use it, and none of them shared with anyone. Because every one of them is strictly necessary, the site does not ask for your consent, as Swedish law allows (Chapter 9, Section 28 of the Electronic Communications Act).

What the site stores

Your language

A cookie called NEXT_LOCALE remembers whether you are reading in English or Swedish. It is set by this site, holds only “en” or “sv”, and is deleted when you close your browser.

Where you were on a page

Entries named xpandrix:reading:… in your browser’s session storage remember where you were on a page, so a reload or a resized window returns you to the same place. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are deleted when you close the tab.

The opening animation

An entry named xp:intro-seen in session storage records that the homepage’s opening animation has played, so it plays once per visit rather than on every reload. It is deleted when you close the tab.

For our staff only

People who sign in to the site’s administration also get sign-in cookies that keep them securely signed in for 12 hours, or up to 7 days if they choose to stay signed in, and a setting that remembers how they like the admin menu. Visitors never receive these.

What we do not use

No analytics, advertising or retargeting cookies, no social media pixels and no third-party scripts. Every file the site loads comes from our own server. The visit statistics store nothing in your browser, and the Privacy Policy explains how they work.

Controlling them

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. The site still works if you do, but it will not remember your language or your place on a page.

If this changes

If we add anything that is not strictly necessary, such as a chat widget, we will ask for your consent before it stores anything, and update this page first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
